A water-safety campaign for young teens.

We skipped the scaremongering, made it shareable and kept it super Snapchat-friendly.

The Canal & River Trust look after most of the UK’s waterways. But not many people know about their work. Or appreciate how rich, diverse and fascinating urban rivers can be. So we created a canalside poster campaign to get people interested in their local waterways and put the Trust on the map.

Regular donations are the holy grail for The National Trust - because they fund year-round maintenance and repairs.

But that’s not the exciting stuff. So to recruit regular donors, we didn’t go into detail about what their money would do. Instead, we showed what it would mean: a way to work hand-in-hand with the National Trust to protect the places they love. Always.

Christian Aid have been raising money with door-to-door collections for generations. But here’s the thing: young people don’t want to give (or collect) that way.

So we launched an annual fundraising event instead: the Big Brekkie. And loaded up the event leaders with packs, tips and activities to get everyone in a generous mood.

The RNLI rescues 23 people every day, and is funded entirely by donations.

They wanted to thank their most generous supporters - and show just how much difference they make. So we sent out something else the RNLI relies on every day: foil survival blankets.. And printed them with the names of every single person the RNLI rescued in the last year.

All 25,326 of them.

Cabrini had a once-in-a-lifetime offer for their major donors: help pay for a state-of-the-art hospital, and have one of the new floors named after you.

Opening a floor with your name on it is a huge event. And reading about it should be one too. So to open the pitch book, donors first had to snip a luxurious red ribbon.

The books were the centrepiece of a swanky fundraising dinner hosted by Melbourne’s philanthropic royalty; the Gandels.

Kids with sight loss hear the phrase ‘you can’t’ a lot.

‘You can’t climb that.’

‘You can’t go there.’

‘You can’t be like other kids.’

All that changes when a major donor makes a gift to Guide Dogs. Their donations fund programs that give kids independence and confidence. And show them they can do anything.

Wales is full of fun, creative, think-outside-of-the box activities for kids of all ages. So it’s the perfect destination for a family holiday.

To spread the word about the ways visiting Wales can unleash your children’s inner artist, we sent blocks of self-firing clay to influencers. And a poetically-written DM to everyone else. Both of which linked back to an online hub, bursting at the seams with inspiring places to book. 

The Glenlivet Alpha is a whisky like no other. Its provenance is a total secret. And it’s so rare, only a lucky few will ever get to try it. Our challenge? To heighten the mystery, and get the online whisky community talking.

Interactive challenges let connoisseurs figure out its flavours online, and a month of social CRM helped them hone their tasting abilities.

Twitter followers were rewarded with exclusive content and could send in their guesses about the flavour. In return, they received a personalised video from the Master Distiller himself to say how close they were. All of which led to a live online reveal with the UK's whisky superstars. 

T-Mobile are great at getting new customers. But not so good at keeping them. They needed a loyalty programme, stat. So we created the Treat Van.

The Van paid random visits to customers (which were actually based on super-smart retention data). Then surprised and delighted them with their pick of freebies.

It really worked too. People stayed longer and recommended their friends more. And after a few months, the Van was even making a tidy profit. 

Banking. B2B. Storytelling. This project for Santander had it all.

The idea was simple: people don’t trust big banks any more. So rather than sending out glossy brand messages, we got customers to sing their praises instead.

Each print ad was led to an online film. And everything was backed by an actively-managed LinkedIn group. 

Roll-Royce always demands two things for every project: effortless elegance, and a ‘world first’. 

Working closely with the strategy and technology teams, I steered the site’s look and tone, and streamlined hundreds of pages into a simple menu. And the world first? Retargeting software was used in reverse, automatically adapting the site’s content to suit Rolls-Royce’s three different audiences: potential buyers, tyre kickers and fans.

An oldie, but a goodie.

A people-powered, socially-sourced site to help the independent shops looted in the London riots get back on their feet. 

When their local park got overtaken by football pitches, the locals weren’t happy about it. So, as part of a commission by Design for London, we asked residents to sketch what they wanted there instead. Then redrew their doodles in huge scale – using the football pitch’s own line-painting equipment.

The grassy mural kick-started the community consultation process. Which created the largest edible green space in Europe.
